Thank You For Medicine at 2:00am

My husband is doing kind, thoughtful stuff like crazy. Okay, two things in two days. Whatever. I think I will have to officially ban myself from my blog for um…at least 2 days. So, this means, I’m not allowed to complain about, make fun of, or say anything negative about my husband for 2 entire days.

I’m having pain that’s making me have insomnia. My standard approach to pain is to ignore it, you know, like my doctor does. Especially when combined with insomnia during pregnancy, I just kept thinking “oh, insomnia, that’s due to pregnancy, everyone gets it. ” So, I didn’t really involve the pain in my discussion with myself. But suddenly LAST night the pain got really evil! I mean, attacking me like a monster! It almost felt like the pain was mad at having been ignored so long…Anyway, I got to bed at 11:45pm (unbelievable feat, it absolutely should have been rewarded with sleep or even better things, like money or something–but no…conquering my self-indulgence was rewarded instead with horrible pain…that’s fine.) Got to sleep at 4:00am. Fun, fun, fun!

So, my husband came home at 1:30am. GET THIS: I told him I couldn’t handle my back pain, and he got ALL worried. (This guy NEVER worries as he always assumes I’m faking pain or any type of illness.) But perhaps due to our talk over the weekend, he believed me.

And he rushed right to the 24 hour pharmacy and brought me home some medicine! (It was prescribed to me 3 weeks ago…should have gotten it then.) But anyway, major husband points. He had no complaints. Then lots of checking. How am I? How’s my back? Even checking today via IM. He totally loves me. And I totally love him:)

They do know how to be nice, don’t they? I remember when we were in Thailand and I ate little crabs - after hubby warned me, as I am allergic. Around midnight, I started puffing up and couldn’t breathe. He walked around downtown Bangkok to find me allergy medication. Lucky the pharmacist spoke a teeny weeny bit of English…

Two days seems perfectly reasonable. Now, if he keeps it up, you’ll have to also. Shouldn’t be hard, right?
