Ha ha! Yes, MacGyver was extremely clever (as well as totally adorable), so if duct tape worked for him, it should really work for all of us. hehe.

Hmmmm, I just checked out your blog and all that construction. WHEW!!! My husband anywhere near a scene like this is truly my worst nightmare…What about Jerry? Is he good at things around the house? I would imagine he couldn’t do much harm by painting (though my husband definitely could and would). I say go for it!

Duct tape sounds good - it was always good enough for MacGyver! Ha ha - it does look a bit off, Holly. That’s why we’re paying carpenters to do the work in our new apartment. Btw, my husband wanted to paint the unit ourselves - I kinda agreed but now that I think about it, I think I’ll ask the carpenters to finish the job. What do you think?

I have duct tape on the inside of my cabinets. This is a 30 plus year old kitchen. I am BLESSED that it is really nice wood cabinets.. but some… need a bit of loving care! lol

Good point. My husband has also used duct tape for home “repair.”

This actually makes me feel somewhat thankful it’s just a florescent white latch on the outside:)

Bianka, you are blessed with profound insight.

First, it is 100% true that he grew up in a place that did not have very modern tools. (This is NOT a joke, but it IS funny, especially after reading the comments about his “handy” work!!!)

Next, while he was NOT raised by a chimpanzee, he WAS raised by my mother-in-law, which was SO MUCH WORSE in so many ways! HAHAHAHAAHHA! SO, SO FUNNY this evening, no?
